About Kelsey
I received my training at Christian Theological Seminary, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling. My training focused on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches to working with individuals, couples, and groups. My theoretical perspectives come from intersubjective psychoanalytic theory (emphasizes that we are inherently social and inter-dependent), attachment theory (the dynamics of long-term relationships), and object relations theory (that our personalities develop around early relationships). I received my Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in theatre arts. I believe my work and experience in the arts has been invaluable in helping to deepen the understanding and support I can provide to my patients.
In our patient/therapist relationship, I value:
• Individual Uniqueness • Going beyond symptoms • Imagination • Personal Growth • Complexity
License/Certification I am a fully Licensed Mental Health Counselor
